VEGAS GETAWAY WITH THE 305 BOYS

Colton took a well deserved getaway to Las Vegas after a busy summer semester up at the U. He was joined by our good friend Luke and they headed down to meet up with some friends Colton had met online. We joked that Luke was there for protection just in case the strangers turned out to be serial killers. Actually the friends that Colton was going to meet were from Miami (area code 305) and they were meeting Colton in Vegas for a national flag football tournament that they were competing in.

 

He had a great time with his buddies Ossie, Danny and Luke! Colton got hooked up with another one of his deals and was given 3 nights for free at the Wynn right on the strip. In the evenings they would compete in the flag football tournament which lasted 2 days and which they ended up winning! Duh Winning! Him and Luke golfed quite a bit while they were down there and ate some amazing food! They also managed to go see the show “Jabbawockeez” which they said was quote “insane”. We’ve seen many shows down in Vegas so this one is a must see if you’re down there. In the end, they had an amazing time and he made sure to take lots of pictures to make us jealous.

     

 

Oh did we mention that Colton and Luke stopped and hiked Angels Landing and the Narrows at Zions National Park on the way home. Rub it in, jerks…..

  

HEAD SWAPPING MANIA

So while the family was all in town we arranged a family photo together of the Mather family. Our good friend Jeff Hodges traveled down from Syracuse to take the photo for all of us. They turned out great, except for the fact that it was very hard to capture a photo with everybody smiling at the same time. Colton performed another one of his Photoshop miracles as he spent hours swapping heads in order to get the perfect family photo. Good times!

DESMOND’S BABY BLESSING

Desmond’s big day had arrived and we were so happy that all of our family could be there with us. We had family fly in from Colorado, Massachusetts, and California to be together. It was a very special day. In fact it was a very special weekend because on Saturday Danielle and Bryan were married and then on Sunday we had Desmond’s baby blessing.

                  

                

             

 

Colton’s mom had saved the outfit that Colton was blessed in back in 1986 along with some photos and gave them to him for his birthday. We thought it would be fun to compare so the other day we dressed Desmond up in that same outfit. Stylin huh?

ANTELOPE ISLAND BRIDALS

Thursday evening Colton and his sister Ashleigh headed out to take Bridal photos for his sister that will be getting married on August 6th. The photos turned out amazing. Breathtaking. Such a beautiful couple and we can’t wait for the big day. Danielle and Bryan loved having 2 photographers there. Spoiled!!!! Here are a few from the shoot:

   

       

          

DESMOND’S NEWBORN PHOTOSHOOT

So Colton’s amazing sister Ashleigh and her family flew out from CA to be here for not only the baby blessing but also for Danielle and Bryan’s wedding. While she was here we took advantage of her mad skills and Colton and his sister did a newborn photo-shoot of Desmond. Desmond was an angel and we got some really cute pics of him. It was printed on a cool linen texture paper with the ornate 5 x 7 cut. The baby blessing announcement (help designed by uncle Luke) also had Desmond’s footprint on it. And yes, we stamped his foot individually on each one! It was Desmond’s personal touch. Love you Des!

SPENCER FAMILY REUNION

We had some plans over the 24th of July fall through so we took the opportunity to head up to Idaho with Colton’s dad, Lorenzo, for the Spencer Family Reunion. They all loved seeing little Desmond and we had a great time catching up with family. We had dinner together at a park and then went to a waterpark in the evening. It was a quick day trip so we were back on Saturday for the festivities here in Salt Lake. We had a great time!

       

                                 

MURRAY FUN RUN

Happy 4th of July everybody! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. It was especially fun to celebrate it with our little man, Desmond. Colton ran the 5k in the morning on practically no sleep and we had a fun time watching the parade with the family.
