Just Another Day in Paradise

GARDNER VILLAGE WITH MACADOO

Sunday afternoon we decided to take our visit with McGavin down to Gardner Village and just walk around and feed the ducks.

When asked to comment about the day, Mandy said “it was nice”. I guess that pretty much sums it up:

Later that evening we went to Colton’s Dad’s house for a ghoulish dinner! We had witch finger breadsticks and a witches brew that was pretty good. He’s always cookin up something good. It must be Halloween time.

FALL FAMILY PICTURES

We've been wanting to get some family pictures for some time now especially with our little man. The fall leaves were so beautiful that we decided to head up to Mueller Park Canyon in Bountiful to take them.

Danielle, Colton's sister, was gracious enough to come and help us. We drove up the canyon and found a few good spots. This is how they turned out:

CATCHING UP – OCTOBER WITH DESMOND

So We haven’t blogged for quite some time but we set a new resolution to get all caught up. So we’re gonna keep pluggin away and pretend that we’re right on track. So here it goes.

Desmond is getting so big these days and it’s hard to believe that he’s just over 3 months old. He is so cute and Mandy loves snuggling with him. Here are some photos through the month of October with Des:

ANOTHER CONFERENCE AT THE CABIN

DSC_0931_honey

The Mather family has a family tradition each year over General Conference weekend of traveling to the cabin and spending the weekend with family. We love it and it gives us time to have lots of fun with those whom we love so much. Friday afternoon we headed to the lake to do some fishing and the Coffman’s (Mandy’s sisters family) had already caught a lot of fish. We didn’t stay long but Colton caught a few and gave them to some other fisherman. It’s absolutely beautiful up there!

On the way back there were a ton of sheep that were out on the road. Someone told us that they may be wild sheep but either way it was really crazy!

We usually listen to conference on the radio since we do not get TV reception, however this weekend the AM receiver wasn’t working too well so we rolled down the car windows and listened to it blasting from the car. It wasn’t too bad. Saturday and Sunday flew by so fast.

The horses up at the cabin are always a huge hit. They swarm you at the sight of apples. It can sometimes be a bit scary. Colton had some eat off of his head.

The zipline was hands down probably the most fun for everyone. The kids are so cute going down it. Little Desmond isn’t big enough but he still had a good time!

Overall it was a very successful weekend and some great memories were formed. It was a really nice time to get away and enjoy nature while spending time with the best company in the world: family!

He loves this….

P.S. we wanted to mention that we hurried home from the cabin Sunday to have a Sunday/ Birthday dinner with David and we want to make sure he knows how much we love him and appreciate him.

GUESS WHO’S BACK, BACK AGAIN, JAVI’S BACK, TELL A FRIEND!

The day had finally arrived! Javier Morales was going to play in a game for the first time since his gruesome injury a few months ago! I wrote about that day HERE.

It was going to be an amazing game and we had free tickets thanks to our Pass of All Passes! Woot Woot! So we took Desmond to his 1st Real Salt Lake game, and it happened to land exactly on 3 months ago to the day he was born.

The game however didn’t turn out too swell. Kyle Beckerman got a red card in the 11th minute and it just went downhill from there. RSL ended up losing 3-0. Desmond was pretty bored during the game and fell asleep in our arms…. The one shining moment was when Javier was substituted in on the field. The entire stadium stood and cheered. You couldn’t help but feel chills. Although we lost we’re still RSL till we die!

This was just too funny:
