The Mather family has a family tradition each year over General Conference weekend of traveling to the cabin and spending the weekend with family. We love it and it gives us time to have lots of fun with those whom we love so much. Friday afternoon we headed to the lake to do some fishing and the Coffman’s (Mandy’s sisters family) had already caught a lot of fish. We didn’t stay long but Colton caught a few and gave them to some other fisherman. It’s absolutely beautiful up there!

On the way back there were a ton of sheep that were out on the road. Someone told us that they may be wild sheep but either way it was really crazy!
We usually listen to conference on the radio since we do not get TV reception, however this weekend the AM receiver wasn’t working too well so we rolled down the car windows and listened to it blasting from the car. It wasn’t too bad. Saturday and Sunday flew by so fast.
The horses up at the cabin are always a huge hit. They swarm you at the sight of apples. It can sometimes be a bit scary. Colton had some eat off of his head.

The zipline was hands down probably the most fun for everyone. The kids are so cute going down it. Little Desmond isn’t big enough but he still had a good time!

Overall it was a very successful weekend and some great memories were formed. It was a really nice time to get away and enjoy nature while spending time with the best company in the world: family!

P.S. we wanted to mention that we hurried home from the cabin Sunday to have a Sunday/ Birthday dinner with David and we want to make sure he knows how much we love him and appreciate him.
